It took us weeks to find and hire the right man for the job, and eventually, our battalion gathered some of the bravest and most fearless warlords in our shire: Lord Cantalupi of Clan Wolfsong and Count Mendonico of Clan Cornet.

At the time, we wanted to gather the most accurate information about the instruments sampled, but the players of La Rossiqnol were scattered all over the place from Bologna to Milan. To make a long story short, we had to travel long distances to meet them, but those days of joint planning, meetings and sandwiches became one of the best parts of the project.

Interacting with different people and in different ways led us to think more precisely, not only about the interface or behavior of the virtual instruments we wanted to build, but also about the framework, the general idea and the inner voice of the "Renaissance" we wanted to shape from scratch.

Ultimately, this becomes the toughest - and rather ironic - challenge of all: to give new life to an old rhyme and play it in the context of the present!
