The Balkan National Orchestra is a very unique and fresh sounding collection that gives you access to a large number of Eastern European soloists. The Balkan Folk Ensemble offers everything you need to write authentic Eastern European Balkan music. From playable folk instruments and notorious Balkan brass sounds to ethnic vocal quartets and solo percussion. Everything is at your fingertips. In contrast to our other libraries, each instrument in this collection is recorded with the same attention to detail, featuring multiple microphone positions, varying lengths of articulation, expressive phrases, authentic polyphonic legato and a variety of ensemble sizes. The Balkan National Ensemble was recorded at the Sofia Conference Studios using high-end recording equipment and draws from the same lively and immersive approach as our Next Generation Choir series, which draws from the ground up.
