Phosphor is a unique instrumentplug-in (software component)The model is alphaSyntauri, a retro digital addition from the early 80's.synthesizers. The original alphaSyntauri required an Apple IIe to run, but we've gone ahead and eliminated the middleman so you can use this classic digital synthesizer in the DAW of your choice.

Version 3 once again modernizes the tried-and-true feature set of the original. In addition to a host of internal improvements, it comes with a new layer of coatings, extended modulation options, MPE support, TUN file support for non-average tunings, and our brand new Preset Browser.

The Phosphor's topology closely follows the alphaSyntauri while adding many modern features. It has two identical sounds, each with its own additive synthesized wavetable oscillator, noise source, amplifier envelope and delay line. Choose between a low-resolution mode (which reproduces the original sound) and a purer high-resolution setting for high-end sound quality. Stay smooth with 16 crossovers, or cross-modulate Phosphor's oscillators and dabble with Synclavier's FM capabilities!

Phosphor 3 features two LFOs with a wide range of waveforms, including a random source that can be manipulated globally or on a per-note basis.
