Built After years of IRS research and experimentation, we have finally succeeded in building one of the best vocal tape simulators available: impulse responses from our beloved Telefunken M15 tape recorder, real tape noise and combining them with tape saturation and analog limiting simulations and our ears!
In addition to the TELEFUNK M15 MAX TAPE device (Tapevolver), you get 15 customized tape presets
Very basic and simple GUI:
Gain: Tape Saturation
Editing: Tape Compression/Limiting
Select: Here you can select a different tape (8)
DryWet: should remain 100% WET
Hi-Boost: Will not exceed 10% wet! For some Tape options, even lower is better!
If you want to give your tracks and mixes some analog tape magic, this tool will help you do it easily and quickly!
P.S. If you are new to Max For Live Plugins, make sure you have Java installed on your system!
Java is free, by the way.
1- Put the Tapevolver folder on your desktop and leave it there
2- Turn on Ableton Live
3- Drag and drop "TELEFUNK M15 Tape Machine.amxd" to the desired channel and enjoy!
Or do what he does in this video (move the .amxd to the Max Audio Effect folder), but leave the entire Tapevolver folder on your desktop, because the max patch requires IR and some other stuff in that folder!
Simpler... This way, you can also access the .adv (preset file)
(but still keeping the original folder on the desktop)
