We are pleased to present our new book series, Chalumeau, with true legato articulation and a distinctive warm folk tone.

"The chalumeau is a single-reed woodwind instrument of the Late Baroque and Early Classical eras.The chalumeau is a folk instrument and a precursor to the modern clarinet."

The instruments we use are handmade from cherry wood by the great artisan and flute maker Max Brumerq. We sampled vibrato and non-vibrato legato, staccato and over 50 phrases.

The library was recorded at the Rocchi Studois in Rome in collaboration with the St. Louis Conservatory of Music using high-end microphones.
This library has two microphone locations: close and room.

The library also provides all fine sampling techniques such as looping, dynamic modulation wheels and vertical stratification.
