The Peak Rider 2 smoothly detects the dynamics and frequencies of sidechained signals (external or generated) and uses it to process the main input in one of 5 ways. The Peak Rider 2 is an extremely powerful dynamicplug-in (software component). Unlike any other type of dynamics processor, Peak Rider 2 is like an entire library of FX and mixing plug-ins rolled into one, with a completely new way of processing any type of audio material.

Essentially, the Peak Rider 2 uses three detection modes to analyze the sidechain signal and create a smooth, continuous "envelope" from it. This envelope can be split into stereo or bands, equalized, and used to control the main input through five unique processing modes. The sidechain can be anything, and the PR2 can even generate its own signal using the built-in synthesizer.

Whether PR2 uses enhancement or attenuation is entirely dependent on the sidechain and input material, thus providing unlimited creative possibilities.

-Precision: The classic core feature of the Peak Rider 2. Sidechain dynamics are applied to the main input with full control of the range and envelope.
-No enhancements:Similar to Precise, but no gain is applied. Instead, the plug-in moves the main input down only as needed.
-Down:The main input is raised or lowered depending on the ratio of the band gain and sidechain envelope level to the main input level.
-Expansion:Similar to a master band limiter with a variable output cap based on the sidechain envelope.
-Equalizer:Full-featured, ultra-accurate parametric equalizer with up to 12 bands to compensate for volume changes!

-Peak:Real-time, fast peak-meter envelopes designed for control of transient heavy materials.

- Expand. Similar to a mastering limiter, with a variable output ceiling based on the sidechain's envelope.
- EQ. Fully featured, super precise parametric EQ with up to 12 bands that compensates for volume changes!
