If you asked engineers to make a list of equalizers that stood out to them, they'd probably mention an inductor-based design with a nautical name reminiscent of the sea god Poseidon. The equalizer section of this rare and legendary console sounds like the records you grew up listening to: Queen, The Beatles, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones. ...... Let's just say it's "tried and true".

Used in very few studios, this console is known for its high degree of musicality. A key factor behind its magic is its unique band interaction - pushing the gain of one band results in an equalization curve, whereas three to four bands are needed on a parametric equalizer.

There is a learning curve for such a unique equalizer. The interactions between its bands are so unique that we've never seen a digital replica that makes them easy to use. So we decided to take matters into our own hands, using on-screen EQ curves that faithfully reflect the quirks of the original hardware and make the Pulsar Poseidon easy to master.

With all its additional features (IF/sideband, gain scale, auto gain, multiple saturation colors), thisplug-in (software component) (VST/VST3/AU/AAX) faithfully brings the rare and iconic qualities of this console EQ into the digital realm.
