To capture this special character, we have recorded a wide range of ostinatos as well as special bowed sound effects sounds.Vertigo Viola fascinates you, while also allowing you to create exciting textures and strong emotions.

Vertigo Viola
Vertigo Viola offers a full, resonant string sound that is simultaneously fragile and raw, capable of creating different textures and moods. It captures the organic, realistic dynamics of the viola and consists of 14 different ostinatos and 2 bowed string effects. As with other instruments in the Vertigo family, in Vertigo Viola all the ostinatos can be mixed and matched to create and expand your vision of the viola. You can also pan and adjust the intervals of each ostinato individually, and add effects intuitively.
The Vertigo Viola sound covers a wide range of playing techniques: it includes 4 different solo viola Single Arco patterns, which can be played solo or as a "viola quartet" with four different layers of intensity. The instrument also includes the full, more "fragile" sound of the Viola da Gamba, which can add a lower depth to your compositions. Next, you'll find a Harmonics sound and 2 Sul Pont, which means the viola is closer to the bridge, emphasizing higher overtones and giving the viola a more metallic tone. To add even more dynamics, we have also included ostinatos with different bowing motions and spiccatos, which can be played at different speeds. Finally, Vertigo Viola comes with a frozen viola, a synthesized source and two bow effects.
Vertigo Viola offers 16 different sound sources:
- Arco (A Bottom, A Head, B, Processed)
- Viola Da Gamba (Arco and Fragile) - Sul Pont (2 variations) - plays quite harsh, close to the bridge and the bowing.
- Overtone - the typical soft whip string note.
- Movement (1 and 3 players) - moving between different patterns, such as long notes and trills.
- Leap - randomly bounces or synchronizes in half on the strings, 4th and 16th bounces and bow sounds.
- 2 re-synthesized violin sounds - Frozen Viola and Roland Juno Viola String Patch - 2 different bow sounds
