We are proud to announce LASS First Chair 2 (LASS FC 2), one of 2 simplified sound sets from the LASS Full 2 library.LASS FC 2 features solo instruments played by the group leader. These instruments don't sound like "guest soloists", they sound like the first chair players, blending in perfectly with the parts they come from.

Although LASS FC 2 does not include the ARC (Audiobro Remote Control) for LASS Full 2, all of the patches for LASS FC 2 are the same as the "First Chair" patch for LASS Full. ...... Except that LASS Full's stage and color features are not included.

stillWe did add our new color technology to LASS FC 2. There is a new "Color" button that allows you to use our Batman color profiles. Pre-programmed multifunctions are included so you can simply load them and play!

LASS FC 2 is a great way to introduce the concept of LA Scoring Strings, and there is a dollar-for-dollar upgrade path (based on the product's current sales price) to the full version of LA Scoring Strings (see the store for more information on this).

• Stage and Color - At the heart of Stage and Color is a series of uniqueorchestral musicSound profiles (colors) inspired by famous film scores and recordings. Now, at the push of a button, LASS can adopt the tonal characteristics of some of the most coveted scores and recordings.
• A new ARC (Audiobro Remote Control) master script makes it easier to control all sections and partitions from a single window.
• Reverb and width control for multiple Patch in ARC.
• ART programming for multiple patches within ARC.
• The CC table controls multiple patches in the ARC.
• The auto-scheduler controls multiple patches from the ARC.
• A new Key Switching method for getting multiple patches from an ARC.
• Serendipity (String Effect) Patch
• Due to the inclusion of NI's NCW (Lossless Compressed Audio File Format) files, the footprint is greatly reduced to only about 18Gb. We included the 24-bit file because it is less of a burden on the hard drive than the 30 .wav files by about 24%. we noticed that there were no measurable CPU hits when using the NCW files... ...we did a lot of testing.
• Many other new features and improvements

The main difference between LASS FC 2 and the full version is that LASS FC 2 does not include Divisi Partial or Full Mix patches or ARCs (Audiobro remotes - LASS Full 2.0 functionality only). The diagram below shows the patches and joints that come with LASS FC 2. All "blue" patches come with LASS Lite 2 ("green" is for LASS FC 2, everything else is included in the full version of LASS).

What is the difference between LASS FC 2 and LASS FULL 2?

Although LASS FC 2 provides you with a first chair (solo) patch, it does not include a divisi ensemble patch or a "Full Mix" patch. It also does not include the ARC (Audiobro Remote Control), which is only a LASS Full 2.0 feature. However, the patches included in LASS Lite work in exactly the same way as the same patches in the full version of LASS (minus the ARC) ...... There is no difference in patch functionality. You still get the excellent ART scripts and Auto Arranger scripts as well as all the other scripts that come with the full version of LASS ...... just not the divisi or first chair patches or the stage and color features.

LASS FC 2 is a downloadable library that uses the new Native Instruments NCW lossless compression in 16-bit format to save hard disk space and reduce download times.
