Based on the classic 1891 Besendorfer, this one-of-a-kind instrument was recorded in four separate configurations - one in which horsehair is used as a bow on each piano string ("bowing"); one in which the strings are struck by hand (" plucking"); one in which various preparations are added to produce a low tone ("damping"), and, conversely, one in which overtones are exaggerated to produce ambient and soaring tones ("harmonics").

These four configurations are then saturated with various chains of sound-shaping effects and used in different combinations to create unique sound structures.
