By introducing a "dice function" that categorizes sounds so that different Evo's can be randomly assigned on the keyboard, Spitfire has also found a way to provide a virtually infinite number of permutations in any single instance. Recorded during the same session as the Spitfire Symphonic String Orchestra with 60 star players: 16 first violins, 14 second violins, 12 violas, 10 cellos and 8 basses; all handpicked from the best orchestras in London. Performing 48 Evos arranged by renowned contemporary concert composer Ben Foskett, this library is filled with beautiful and intense orchestral string sections; all performed live as if in a scoring session. Since each Evos can be played in multiple ranges, an almost infinite number of orchestral string combinations and weaving layers are available for composition.

Captured in the esteemed acoustics of The Hall at Air Studios, using the same equipment as the main soundtrack, the result is emotional and musical. Recorded digitally at 96kHz via a 2-inch Studer tape machine with priceless tubes and ribbon mics, the Neve Montserrat preamplifier goes into the Neve 88R desk; no stone was left unturned here.
