DualDelayDualDelay
was one of the first plugins in the IEM Suite. So it was time for a major makeover! It caters to composers and musicians by adding sync to DAW functionality, hitting the delay button, and moving from milliseconds to BPM and multiplying by set time. As the cherry on top, it supports not only signal rotation, but also warping!
GranularEncoder
GranularEncoder is an Ambisonics particle synthesizer plugin. That's right, it's the first Ambisonics synthesizer plugin released in the suite! The best part: you can take any mono or stereo audio signal and turn it into an enveloping soundscape, or smash the signal into tiny sound particles!
MultiBandCompressor
The MultiBandCompressor is a very handy tool for the mastering phase of your project! It works like a stereo multi-band compressor, however, it will ensure that the spatial image is not altered! The Ambisonics input signal is divided into four bands that can be compressed individually.
StereoEncoder
Use the StereoEncoder enhancement tool to encode mono or stereo audio signals into the Ambisonics domain - up to 7th order. The interface allows you to easily set the orientation, width and rotation of stereo pairs. By simply double-clicking on the SpherePanner, you can change the display to a linear elevation, giving you even greater horizontal accuracy.
With the help of the Quaternion input, you can use data from direction trackers (e.g. headtrackers) to steer your source in the right direction.
RoomEncoder
RoomEncoder is by far the most complex and computationally intensive plugin in the IEM plugin suite. It allows you to place the source and listener into a virtual shoebox shaped room and render over 200 wall reflections. Ideal for enhancing the externalization of binaural playback.
You can move the source and listener freely within the Room, which automatically generates a Doppler shift effect. Use the Total Reflection Coefficient and the low-shelve and high-shelve filters to change the characteristics of the reflections.
But that's not all: RoomEncoder can use DirectivitySignals as input signals. This means that your source can have frequency-dependent and time-varying directionality. the DirectivityShaper plugin is a great tool for creating a variety of directionality.
AllRADecoder
With AllRADecoder, you can use the AllRAD method to design an Ambisonics decoder for any desired speaker layout.
The generated decoder is automatically applied to the incoming Ambisonics audio stream, so you can insert it directly into the decoder track of your audio project. You may also want to use it as a standalone application to design the decoder and write it to a JSON configuration file for use in other plug-ins such as SimpleDecoder.
EnergyVisualizer
This plug-in is ideal for metrological spatial images.EnergyVisualizer visualizes the energy distribution on the sphere of the Ambisonics input signal. The energy levels are color coded according to a color map.Ambisonics signals are decoded using 480 virtual speakers, followed by RMS calculations and OpenGL visualization.
