drum pattern
The KICK mode is optimized for working with separate bottom drum tracks or samples. Make your bottom drum sound big, full and spacious, or dial in the perfect tight and thumping bottom drum to carry through your mix.

Classic Settings
The Classic setting gives you the clear, original sound of a classic traditional transient shaper. This algorithm provides the popular "pumping" effect in your tracks. Ideal for standalone tracks and samples.

The Natural setting provides a natural, artifact-free mix, even when pushing your sound into extreme regions. Sounds great on most sources, even complex ones like full kits and drum loops.

smoothing
The Smooth setting has an extra-long release time, giving you a silky smooth, parallel compression-like effect. Sounds great on most sources, even complex ones like full drum sets and drum loops.

target
Increases or decreases the volume of the sound attack section.

sustain
Increases or decreases the volume of the sustain (post-attack) portion of the sound.

MOJO
The MOJO lets you shape attack and punch in select frequency bands without compromising others. Control the low-end tightness of your bottom drum, add or remove the midrange body of your snare, or adjust the high-frequency presence of your drum mix.

gain (electronics)
Transient shaping can add a lot of volume to your signal. Use the output gain to offset this so you can better compare processed and unprocessed using the bypass button. You can also use the gain to drive a soft clip circuit to get some extra "crackle"!

soft clip
This "speaker protection" circuitry both clips the output level to "0" (unit gain) and adds a slight color/distortion - even on lower signals.

bypassed
Perfect for on/off testing. You also have a bypass in your mainframe, but using a bypass may cause sound malfunctions due to delayed compensation for starting and stopping.The DS-10's bypass can be turned on and off synchronously.

Kick mode
