Goliath is our best-sellingplug-in (software component), now returns with a new look, complete with a new sound engine and new features.
The plugin now features 4 saturation models - alloy, tube, tape and vinyl with drivers. We now use our advanced DSP models to simulate the "real" hardware chain of analog devices using our own proprietary "multi-convolution" and component modeling techniques. In addition, the plug-in is now equipped with a full FET compressor and a 3-band equalizer and low-cut filter in its envelope.
All of these engines make the Goliath V2 a great sounding and versatile channel strip with a wide range of sound processing colors.

Simulation Modeling Processing Chain Component
In order to develop our fantastically realistic simulation chain, we used our proprietary "multi-convolution" and component modeling techniques to sample multiple taps on different levels of equipment.
As a result, you can actually hear the "real" sound of the device!
The signal chain in Goliath V2 is:
Low Cut EQ -> Analog Processing Selector (4 options) -> Envelope Section -> EQ Section.
alloys
This is an analog processing chain with the famous British 1081 sound, whose transformers feature nickel, iron, and steel.
Lets you appreciate the clean and silky analog finish.
valve (electronics)
The tube chain is modeled using a modern/classic tube processing chain and an AIR circuit. An immediately pleasing sound that will bring second order harmonics to your material.
magnetic tapes
Here we used an ATR-700 tape recorder at 15 ips to capture the warmth and compression of the tape. The transient "warm-up" is heard immediately, while third-order harmonic saturation is obtained.
vinyl
This vinyl features an analog mastering chain that connects to a Neumann vinyl cutter and samples multiple IRs from the dubplate.

DRIVE control: This control allows you to "drive" the selected analog chain to achieve its respective saturation characteristics. The levels remain unchanged, so there is no need to continue using this output control.
Go from a light touch analog chain to full drive saturation by tapping the signal hard. You are in control of our sound!
Envelope Equalization Mix: Use this control to turn down the amount of envelope and equalization used to mix the analog chain signals in parallel before the envelope equalization portion. This can be used as a wet/dry control for envelope equalization.
Output Control: This allows you to control the final output gain of the process from -inf to +10 DB, which is useful when doing a lot of compression and needing to boost the signal or cut the level at the end.
Envelope section:
On/Off switch: enables or bypasses the envelope section.
The envelope section utilizes the Model 1176 FET compressor with threshold control and fixed controls for ratio, attack time and release time. Attack, release and ratio have been carefully selected to work with a wide variety of material. From drums to piano or vocals, you can throw anything at this compressor and it will gently control or violently grab the sound!
Threshold: the threshold at which the control envelope begins to function.
Attacks: pre-programmed fixed attack times, from fast to slow.
Release: Pre-programmed fixed release times, from fast to slow.
Ratio: Fixed ratio, ranging from 2:1 to "all buttons on" (smash ratio).
EQ section
On/Off switch: enables or bypasses the EQ section.
This section features a 3-band equalizer and low-cut filter.
Low Cut Filter: A first order low cut filter with a range from 20Hz to 60Hz.
Low EQ: The Peak Filter Equalizer is set to 65 Hz and is used to boost or cut low frequencies by +/-10 DB.
MID EQ: The Peak Filter Equalizer is set to 1.5 KHz and is used to boost or cut the midrange by +/-10 DB.
High EQ: The Peak Filter Equalizer is set to 15 kHz and is used to boost or cut high frequencies by +/-10 DB.

In order to develop our fantastic and realistic sounding analog chains, we used multiple samples of hitting the gear at different levels using our proprietary "Multi Convolution" & Component Modelling Technique.
Hence you actually get the "REAL" sound of the gear!

ALLOY
This is an analog processing chain featuring the famous British 1081 sound which has characteristics of its transformer made of Nickel, Iron, Steel.
This gives you a taste of that clean silky analog processing.
TUBE

TAPE
