At the heart of the RX1200 is our commitment to faithfully reproduce the SP-1200's iconic sound. In addition to its pronounced 12-bit resolution, 26.041 kHz sampling rate, and SSM2044 low-pass filter emulation, the RX1200 is perfectly matched to the SP-1200's mixdown tuning, which has a distinctive gravelly feel, crunch, and warmth that puts unrivaled 12-bit sound into your music.

Simplified interface
Instead of replicating the SP-1200 1:1, we designed the RX1200 as a simpler instrument with a simple learning curve.

By removing the onboard sequencer, we built our vision of an audio plug-in that integrates seamlessly with any DAW and puts sample performance at the forefront of the creative process.

Flexible sample editor
It would be a shame not to utilize a computer mouse. The sample editor makes it easy to navigate, truncate, normalize, invert, loop and assign sounds across 4 banks of 8 percussion pads. It's an efficient and intuitive way to make your own presets to build your groove.

Ready to play
Equipped with a factory collection of over 900 samples built into 50 presets, the RX1200 is ready to play right out of the box.

The Factory collection contains 122 bottoms, 139 snares, 169 stomp cymbals, 47 toms, 32 cymbals, 120 percussion pads, 50 FX, 32 basses, 41 keys, 151 slices, and 33 others.

Over the next few months, we'll be adding a series of new free collections categorized by topic on a regular basis to expand your RX1200 experience.

Unique 1200 lofi sound
To conserve sample memory, SP-1200 owners typically sample 33 RPM records at 45 RPM and then turn down the sample on the SP-1200 to restore the original speed. This technique doubled the sampling time but degraded the sound quality. Surprisingly, this altered sound was popular among hip-hop producers, and the SP-1200 was used on many of the best-selling records of the '90s.
