The Abbey Road Classic upright piano features three mixes that can co-exist at any time and in any ratio without any phase problems.

Vintage Blend

The FX section on the right side of the GUI gives the user more options to shape the sound of the instrument. Challen Studio Piano

This piano (model 861834) was made by Piano Works of London in the 1930s. Compared to the Mrs. Mills, the Challen has a very mellow sound, more in keeping with a typical home upright piano.

Challen Tack ("Jangle Box")

The Challen also has a tack option that can be engaged by depressing the pedal to lower a strip of brass-tipped felt that falls between the mallets and strings. Abbey Road engineers often refer to this piano as a jangle box due to the distinctive sound the brass tips make.

Unlike Mrs. Mills, the Challen is always correctly (traditionally) tuned and offers a warm midrange as an alternative to Miss Mills or a full concert grand piano. This piano was featured in the Beatles' 'Magical Mystery Tour' and 'The Beatles' (White Album)) is widely used.

Possibly the most famous studio in the world, Studio Two is undoubtedly Abbey Road's most recognizable room, and has remained virtually unchanged since its heyday in the 1960's. Originally built for use by EMI's Columbia Records, Studio Two evolved into the home of Abbey Road's popular music, synonymous with the Beatles. But Studio Two has also hosted a number of events, including Kate's "The Rise and Fall of the Beatles. But Studio Two has also hosted countless landmark recordings by a range of artists including Kate Bush and Pink Floyd, as well as television programs such as Live From Abbey Road.Studio Two is able to comfortably accommodate up to 55 musicians, and regardless of the nature of the recordings, it can be altered to produce perfect acoustics.
