Daydream is an intimate release that includes four instruments geared toward emotional, ethereal backgrounds.

For the Cozy Piano patch, we recorded an upright piano in the pianissimo range and placed a pair of stereo Neumann KM 184's behind the piano.This is a great patch if you're looking for a piano that's soft, intimate and has plenty of personality.

We also recorded a cross-fadeable arrhythmia soft sustain performance patch. The ebb and flow of notes is spacious and subtle as the mod wheel is put down. As you crossfade in and out, the ebb grows with more urgency and dynamics.

Also included are recollections; a designed, organic, quietly pervasive instrument that uses a piano recording of arrhythmia as source material.

Finally, there is Ether Violin, which utilizes an "in-camera" recording of a real auto-panning soft vibrato performance. This involves the use of a pair of stereo microphones while the player tilts left/right at different speeds while performing the vibrato.

What is the ATELIER Collection?

Often, during the research and experimentation phase of development, we create instruments that don't necessarily belong in a larger thematic release. Rather than trying to hardwire them into a future release or try to build a comprehensive product around it, we decided to create the Atelier series so that other composers could enjoy our explorations in sample development.

We did not create this line to simply uninstall unused patches. As with any of our products, we only offer instruments that we find compelling, useful and have been treated with equal attention and detail. The only difference is that they are offered in more affordable, bite-sized packages.
