ALEVENTUM POMPEII - Horns and Drums of Ancient RomeWe worked with producer and ancient instrument expert Francesco Landucci to record a large number of horns and drums in the original Roman cisterns at the archaeological site of Cecina, Italy.
Most instruments are captured using close and indoor microphones to provide the flexibility to mix/switch from a more intimate, louder breathing sound to a more evocative sound.
Maleventum Pompeii has the following original instruments:
