Thirty-five years ago, Waldorf Music released its first instrument, the Microwave, which took the hearts of leading musicians and producers of the '90s by storm. Its vibrations and unique sound brought the wavetable sound of the early 80's into the electronic dance music that emerged in the following decade. With massive baselines, mysterious wavetable modulations, savage attacks and silky-smooth percussion pads that inspired generations of musicians, the Microwave is a unique interpretation of wavetable synthesis combined with analog filters, defining hybrid synthesis at its best.

Now it's time to bring this amazing instrument back to the digital workstations of producers and musicians around the world in software form.The Waldorf Microwave 1 plug-in has been painstakingly recreated from the original hardware, retaining all of its features and marvelous singularities.
