Hinterland is a warm and intimate library of fingerstyle electric guitars.

Built on an enhanced engine adapted from our Hoard Fingerstyle guitars, this library is designed to provide versatile, nuanced tones that are perfect for softer, moodier environments, while also featuring a range of appropriately distorted presets for added versatility.

Eleven of the 13 presets feature four different timbres: sustain (with hammer-ons and pull-offs), legato, chorus, and pinyin. Each patch has its own unique character, from the smooth, rounded tones of the "Subway" preset to the bold, distorted edges of "Take The Lead".

We've also included two faux 'Bowed' patches that utilize the Sustains Hammer Pull engine and are able to stand out as the core of the track. Also included is a 'Pedal Swells & Pads' patch processed through a hardware pedal to blend in with the core guitar patches to add character, sparkle and warmth.

Master Legato Main: This is the main legato patch, containing three different legato types; each activated individually by Velocity.

Strength 41-90 is the main range, and it uses natural plucked legato - your bread and butter.

Strength 91-127 Activates mallet open/pulled articulation (up to a major second).

Strengths 1-40 are the movements you slide into plucked articulations, exactly; the string is slid to the target note and then plucked (from minor thirds to octaves). You can control the speed of the slide using the modulation wheel. Until the major second, this legato strength activates the slide no-pluck articulation.

Sustained hammer pull:Polyphonic sustain patches allow you to seamlessly incorporate legato, hammer-ons and pull-offs. If the next note you play/overlap in a legato is an upper chromatic/whole tone scale, it will trigger the corresponding legato sample. If you need to turn off the legato temporarily, just hold down the C1 key and it will deactivate the legato.

Multiplier Patch:These patches are intended to be used as auxiliary guitars for left/right channel double-tracking requirements.

Base Patch:These patches contain raw, unprocessed recordings with no Kontakt Amplifier Analog. While not true DIs, they respond well to external processing and amp plug-ins.

CC11:Lower this controller to reduce the signal sent through the amp sim. This is especially effective for managing heavier, distorted patches.
