It's the same PUNISH effect you know and love, with the same features found in Heavyocity's award-winning line of virtual instruments, now featuring VST/AU/AAX! plug-in (software component)Format: PUNISH is modeled after Heavyocity's custom analog signal chain, giving you control over compression, saturation, transients, EQ, and limiting. Link modules together for the signature PUNISH sound, or isolate them to experience each dynamic effect separately.

Compression/Saturation

With three different compression models, the PUNISH compressor offers a wide dynamic range with classic analog warmth. The plug-in features a smooth Class A bus compressor (Console), an aggressive, fat sound with a classic "inflection point" (Modern), and a warm vintage limiter style (Classic).

The PUNISH Saturation Module also comes in three different models, all with their own unique warmth, drive and character. With classic broadcast mic preamps (vintage), thick harmonic saturation (modern), and fat tube saturation (tube), the PUNISH Saturation Module can add a little grit to a track or overload an entire track.

Transient/Equalizer/Limit

PUNISH's Transient Shaping Module controls attack, sustain and output gain to bring stronger transients back into the signal after saturating the sound. The module also features a Hold control to determine the length of the attack.

The EQ module is a basic but powerful module that boosts high and low frequencies. Set the EQ to Pre or Post to affect the highs and lows before or after Comp, Sat and Transient.
To prevent clipping, PUNISH is also equipped with a limiter at the end of the chain. When saturation starts to make things really tricky, soft clipping volume and release time control are key.
