Using authentic 1955 ribbon microphones and vintage, era-specific drum recordings, Soulfi captures the heartbeat of a timeless era with our innovative metronome.

To capture the dynamics and era-specific sound of the drums, we used vintage RCA ribbon mics, with modern ribbon mics playing a supporting role. These classic mics are known for their smooth, natural response and rich sound quality, adding an authentic vintage vibe.

Ferroalloy Transformer
Each drum was meticulously recorded using ferrous transformers, which brought a rich, warm analog sound to the recording, adding depth and character to each hit.

Analog Tone Shaping
Then pair the RCA mic with a vintage Tube-Tech equalizer to create crisp edges and bass punch.

Crisp, tight and powerful
We created 41 different kits with over 100 vintage and modern drums that were recorded using multiple loops and velocity layers.

Each drum was meticulously recorded using iron alloy transformers, which gave the recording a rich, warm, analog sound that added depth and character to each hit.
