Installation method:
1, first to uninstall the previously installed applications, and then install the main program
2. Copy the ABLETON PATCHER patch to the installation directory (default C:/ProgramData/Ableton/Live 12 Suite/Program) and run it as administrator.
3, run the main program, the first time you open the pop-up window, select this computer is not connected to the Internet, then click on the right side of the Save button, will automatically save a txt file, copy the hardware code therein

- Accessibility: The blending state of a control is now displayed to screen readers as a "blending value". For example, in a multiple clip selection, where loops are on in some clips and off in others, the state of the loop switches in the clip view will be declared as "Mixed Value".
- ACCESSIBILITY: Screen reader announcements in the MIDI Note Editor now use time selection descriptions made specifically for screen readers, instead of using the generic descriptions in the status bar. In addition, time can be read aloud in seconds by enabling the "Read time in seconds" option in the Accessibility menu, otherwise it will be read aloud in bars.
- Accessibility: The MIDI Note Editor's step input mode now includes screen reader announcements.
- Accessibility: When the new option "Read time in seconds" in the Accessibility submenu of the Options menu is enabled, the time announcements in the Arrange When the new option "Read time in seconds" in the "Accessibility" submenu of the "Options" menu is enabled, time announcements in the view timeline will be read aloud in milliseconds in the format: hh:mm:ss:ms.

lineup view
- In the Arrangement View, when the mixer is not in focus, the [CTRL][I] (Win) / [CMD][I] (Mac) keyboard shortcut toggles the visibility of the Input/Output section, and the [CTRL][R] (Win) / [CMD][R] (Mac) keyboard shortcut toggles the visibility of the visibility of the return track.
- The volume portion of the mixer in the Arrangement View can now be resized by dragging the top border of the volume portion of the mixer, just like in the Session View.
- Scrollable automation channels in the Arrangement View now respond to the mouse wheel only when their channel is highlighted.
browser (software)
- In the browser's Plugins tab, the VST2 plugin is no longer displayed as an extensible folder icon.
- In the browser, the Creator tab of the VST2 plugin is now automatically assigned.
- It is now possible to group plug-ins into folders based on the creator label in the browser's plug-ins tab. To do this, right-click on the plugin and select "Group by Vendor". If the plugin does not have an assigned creator tag, it will be displayed in a flat list below the grouped plugins.
- The browser's Plugins tab now shows plugins grouped by creator by default.
- When deleting a tag, the confirmation dialog will now include a comment informing the user that the tag has been used in one or more custom tags.
- The context menu option "Show in Places" can now be accessed in the browser when filtering or using similarity searches within the Places and Packages tabs.
- Users can now reorder tabs in the Library section of the browser, except for the "All" tab, which is fixed.

Clip view
- When focusing on the Clip View, you can now use the [ALT][+/-] keyboard shortcuts to zoom in and out of the MIDI Note Editor.
- Accessibility: Screen reader support has been added to the Sample Editor for audio clip markers, including distortion markers, start and end markers, and loop start and end markers. Markers can be navigated using the [Tab] key and moved in time using the left and right arrow keys.
- Previously, undoing changes in a MIDI tool via the Undo command could be slow if the tool's parameters had changed significantly. Now, the undo operation occurs immediately.
- You can now drag up and down in the Strum Transformation display to adjust the value of the Tension parameter.
- In the MIDI Note Editor, when collapsing key tracks, any tracks left empty after applying Fit Scale are now automatically hidden.
- In the Arpeggio, Connections, and Decorations MIDI tools, the velocity and chance deviation values of the original note are now applied to any new notes added from the note transitions.
- The Arpeggio, Decoration, Connection, and Shape MIDI tools now generate notes in the active key track only when using a drum kit.
- When applying changes in the MIDI Note Editor while collapsed using the Arpeggio, Link, Stack, or Decorated Flower note options, the collapsed and expanded key tracks will be dynamically updated based on the changes in the MIDI Note Editor.
- Pressing Page Up or Page Down while holding down [Shift] will cause the MIDI Note Editor to scroll vertically up or down one key track.
- In the Time Warp MIDI Tool, you can now use the keyboard to enter values in the Breakpoint Time and Breakpoint Velocity parameter fields.

- Navigating the Velocity MIDI effect is now easier using the computer keyboard. When using the [Tab] key to move the focus between controls, the tab will navigate through each parameter in a column from top to bottom, and when the end of the column is reached, the tab will move between columns from left to right. -
The Pitch control in the Pitch device is now less sensitive when you use the mouse to adjust it. -

- In Drum Racks, note names can now be spelled out as MIDI numbers in the MIDI Note Editor. These numbers are also displayed in the drum pad description in the status bar.

interfaces
- Made some improvements to the context menu entries in the Live UI:
- The text of the entries is used more consistently in the different places where they appear, respecting the singular/plural forms as much as possible.
- The "Crop" command is now available in the context menu of the circular brackets.
- You can now use the [CTRL][Shift][J] (Win) / [CMD][Shift][J] (Mac) screenshots to invoke the Crop command in Arrangement or Clip View.
- More information view descriptions of the context menu items are now displayed.
- When any keyboard shortcut is used to exchange similar samples, the corresponding "Exchange to next/previous sample" button will flash to indicate that an exchange is in progress.
- Some improvements have been made to the Live UI:
- It is now possible to increase the width of the master track in the Session View to allow for longer scene names.
- The text editor for cue points is now wider by default to allow longer cue names.
- Mixer peak hold time reduced from 10 to 2 seconds.
- Highlighting and selecting tracks when using the Solo and Track Activator buttons now works in a consistent manner:
- When a track is soloed in a Session or Arrangement, it is highlighted. This behavior can be stopped using the debugging option NoHighlightOnSolo.
- In the drum rack, the chain is now selected when its percussion pad solos. This behavior can be stopped using the debugging option NoHighlightOnSolo.
- In the Drums, Instruments, and MIDI Effects Racks, the chain is only selected when the chain's Solo or Track Activator buttons are on.
- If the "Show scrollbars" option in the Display and Input Preferences is set to "On scrolling", scrollbars are now displayed even when the mouse is hovered over the scrollbar area for a fraction of a second.
- The Show Scrollbar option in Display and Input Preferences now includes a Follow System entry. When checked, the display behavior of scrollbars in Live will match whatever is specified in the OS System Preferences.
- When using the up and down arrow keys to adjust a volume or level parameter in dB, the value now changes continuously in 1 dB increments (0.1 dB increments when using the [Shift] modifier keys for fine tuning).
- Live's Preferences menu has been renamed Settings.

Session View
- In the expanded Session View Instrument Rack chain, dragging and dropping a device into the blank area below the clip slot will now only replace or insert the device in the chain into which the new device was placed, not the parent chain.
- Updated the behavior of the scene tempo and scene time signature fields in the master track:
- The Scene Tempo and Scene Time Signature fields in the Master Track are now visible by default.
- The View Menu Scene Speed and Beat Number entries are now the primary controls for toggling the visibility of the Scene Speed and Scene Beat Number fields, and their state determines whether or not the Expanded Master Track will redisplay these fields.
- Scene speed and beat number commands are now also available through the context menu of the main track.
set up
- The maximum recordable sample length of 8 hours has been removed.Live should now be able to record audio continuously for about 17 hours.
- When the Preferences window is closed, the audio test tone will now stop automatically.
- The following changes have been made to the Windows installation program for Live:
- The installer now supports HiDPI.
- Instead of displaying two nested installers, all user interaction is done in one installer interface.
- The Start Menu entry is now installed per machine, i.e. for all user profiles. Previously, even if Live was installed for all users, the entry would only appear in the Start Menu where the user profile was installed.
- Added a launch button to the success page of the installer to allow launching the installed version of Live directly.
- Fixed an issue where the Start Menu shortcut's icon was a placeholder before restarting.

Adjustment system
- Tuning system names displayed in the "Tuning" section of the browser and in the "Info View" header no longer display the ".ascl" or ".scl" extension. ".ascl" or ".scl" extension. Note that Live Sets created in 12.0 with a loaded tuning system will still display the tuning system name with the corresponding file extension until the tuning file is reloaded. -■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■
Track tuning MIDI controller layout and configuration options are now grayed out when the tuning system is loaded and bypass tuning switching is enabled on a MIDI track.
- The lowest and highest notes in the tuning system can now be adjusted to allow a range of less than 128 notes. When you set the lowest note, the total number of notes remains the same, and the highest note moves to keep the range constant. Setting the highest note allows you to reduce the range to less than 128 notes. If you try to increase the highest note beyond the current range of 128 notes, the lowest note will automatically adjust to maintain the maximum range of 128 notes.
- If a custom controller layout is invalid due to switching to a tuning system with an incompatible value, the invalid value will now be grayed out in the Layout Customization dialog.

- The Scale Mode toggle button in the control bar now has an outlined focus box when using the keyboard to navigate focus.
- Fixed an issue that could cause Meld's limiter to be distorted.

- When entering a non-existent label name while searching for a label using the # symbol, a warning message is now displayed informing the user that a label with that name does not exist. If the user presses the Enter key at this point, the search input will not be saved as a label, but will remain in the search field as plain text.
- When note transitions that do not produce visible changes are applied via the MIDI tools (e.g. quantizing notes that are already on the grid), a step is now generated in the undo history.
- When running a similarity search within an existing search, the browser will now scroll back to the top of the results list instead of staying at the location of the last search.
- Fixed a bug that caused tracks over 2 GB to not freeze or merge.
- ACCESSIBILITY: Fixed incorrect accessible names on the audio editor timeline in clip view. Also cleaned up redundant speech when browsing the audio editor.
- Fixed an issue where adding tagged items to a user's library or favorites would not show the associated tags in those locations until Live was restarted.
- Fixed a bug in the Arrangement View mixer where double-clicking on a device in the browser to load it into the selected rack chain would insert the device after the rack itself, rather than after the selected chain.
- Fixed some UI layout issues in Live's Preferences that caused some translated text to be cut off.
- Fixed a bug in Plugin Preferences that caused Live to scan plugins even if the folder selector was turned off after enabling the "Customize folders with VST2 plugin" or "Customize folders with VST3 plugin" option. Folder" option was enabled, Live would still scan for plug-ins even if the folder selector opened after the "Customize folder with VST2 plug-in" or "Customize folder with VST3 plug-in" option was disabled.
- Fixed a bug where built-in devices saved to the Collections tab in Live 11 would show up as unloadable folders when displayed in Live 12.
- Fixed a crash that occurred after placing a sample on a selected drum kit pad that already contained an instrument.

- You can now use the arrow keys to set and adjust the value of the Blend parameter.
- The noise modulator is no longer reset to 0 when the device is reactivated.

- Similar sample swap controls are now hidden in nested drum racks (i.e. drum racks inside drum pads).
- Fixed issue where multiple clip selections would start in a different clip slot than expected.

- Entering a space as the first character on the enumeration value slider no longer enters edit mode and does not prevent the global play/stop command.
