REAPER is a digital audio workstation. It is a complete multi-track audio and MIDI recording, editing, processing, mixing and mastering environment. Import any audio and MIDI, synthesize, sample, compose, arrange, edit, mix and master songs or any other audio project using only your existing computer and no other software.

If you add an optional hardware audio interface (AD/DA: analog-digital/digital-analog) and a microphone, you have a complete recording studio. It is suitable for any recording from solo to band to orchestra.
REAPER converts your computer into the full power of any top-notch recording studio. It supports almost all existing audio interfaces. Even the interfaces produced by some companies whose software does not allow you to use any other hardware interface.

REAPER has no track types, buses, tools or offline processing. To create a drum bus, simply add a track above the drum track and press the folder button. Drum sounds are automatically sent to the folder. Once the drum levels and effects are adjusted to where you want them, you can record the output of that folder, freeze the drums in a non-destructive way, and move on.
