Simply drag MIDI, step or audio clips into the grid, or choose to record directly into a slot while getting visual input feedback on your clips.

Sequence operations can be used to rapidly construct complex algorithmic choreographies. Choose from a list of operations, stack them and adjust the probability of each operation to obtain human-like variations or wild, unpredictable sequences.

Sometimes you'll want to capture these rich sounding performances and surprises; enter Performance Recording. Performance Recording prints the performance to the Arranger window, giving you the opportunity to edit, mix and further orchestrate your ideas later.

Controller Support
Waveform 13 comes out of the box with support for a range of popular launchpad controllers. No configuration required - just plug in and enjoy pre-mapped strike pads, potentiometers and buttons. A javascript API has been added for additional controller configuration and support for controllers supported by Ableton Link:

Wavetable Synth
Wavetable is a powerful synthesizer with flexible modulation and huge sounds! It features two wavetable oscillators, plus a sub-oscillator and noise oscillator. It contains 150 wavetables, plus you can create your own by simply dragging and dropping .wav files onto the oscillators. Serum format wavetables are also supported.

The flexible Dual Filter module can be set up in serial or parallel configurations, and clicking the FX button switches the panel to display 5 powerful effects that can be dragged and positioned as desired. You'll find: Trance Gate, Chorus, Distortion (10 types), Reverb (Pure and Natural), Equalizer, Limiter and Filter.

Modulation sources include: 4 LFOs, 3 envelopes, 4 macros, MPE pressure tones and bends, MIDI note numbers, velocity, MIDI pitch, modulation wheel, and all MIDI controllers. Simply drag and drop a modulation source onto a parameter and assign it! You can choose to draw your own LFO shapes, or choose from a list of carefully crafted and very useful shapes.
