Spitfire Audio Aska Matsumiya - Crystal Bowls KONTAKT- 2,06 GB
natural frequency
A unique series of expansive, surreal textures created by the rich, intuitive vibrations of high-purity quartz crystal bowls, curated by award-winning composer Aska Matsumiya (Home, After Yang, Betty).
These surreal instruments have traditionally been used in meditation practices and sound healing, and we have brought them into the realm of film by capturing a detailed and diverse range of performance styles in the resonant sounds of London's Hackney Round Church.
Mix and move a wide range of textures through our intuitively designed plug-ins to create intense ambient soundscapes - from percussive, shimmering phrases to deep, persistent resonances, and a range of modern twisted presets. Designed to breathe new life into any genre - from ambient minimalism to ethereal movie soundtracks.
Intuitive Vibration
The centerpiece of this library is a set of seven crystal bowls of deeply resonant sounds captured at a therapeutic frequency of 432Hz. As the sounds are close to the original sine wave, their synthesizer-like nature can be easily molded into any shape.
Under the innovative vision of Japanese-born, Malibu-based composer and multi-instrumentalist Aska Matsumiya, who uses these instruments extensively in her scores and sound installations, we set out to expand the language of the instruments and unlock a rich array of surreal tones and textures, presented in an intuitive and illuminating plug-in designed to evoke persistent ambient soundscapes and rich cinematic atmosphere.
Using various combinations of traditional mallets and modern drumsticks and brushes, we capture percussive, vibratory intuitive vibrations and continuous shimmering layered textures that sing, evolve and resonate through the entire body. A series of modern twists provide additional inspiration to transform these echoes into stunning, alien-like textures.
