The Degradation Engine brings the vibrant core of an analog synthesizer into the crushing oblivion of microtape - and opens up a deep world in between.

The Degradation Engine works very much like a regular subtractive synthesizer - you get filters, ADSRs, mixers and some handy effects. What makes it different is that it has two oscillators, each with two knobs to control the "loss".
These knobs fade in and out between the original signal from the oscillator and a degraded version sampled via microtape - so for each oscillator, you can choose any point between the original analog waveform and the total tape vulnerability.

Not only that, but each oscillator has two types of degradation, with samples recorded at full speed and half speed. Full speed has a crisper sound, while half speed has a warmer, mellower sound - again, you can do anything between these two extremes.

Keep in mind that there are two waveforms per oscillator and it will get very deep very quickly ......
