Tomofon - Real Audio Synthesizer
We are pleased to present Tomofon, a new expressive audio synthesizer. Thevirtual instrumentA new "audio model" format was introduced, capable of containing thousands of waves extracted from ordinary audio files. These waves - and their structure - provide the basis for how Tomofon generates audio, resulting in a highly flexible and instantly expressive instrument. On the one hand it sounds organic, on the other, like something out of this world. Whether you want to use the Audio Modeling Starter Pack (instruments and voices) and factory presets, or import your own audio to shape your own unique soundscape, it's fair to say that you're on a creative journey.
How it works
Tomofon converts an audio file into a large set of oscillating waves, and then maps them to pitch regions where each wave represents a layer (somewhat similar to the way a sampler builds regions of different velocities). The main difference is that since each region is filled with waves instead of normal samples, the synthesizer engine can morph between them (layers and regions). This makes all transitions between regions and layers continuous and seamless. This structure containing these organized wavetables is what we call an audio model and gives Tomofon its dynamic character and unique sound.
Create and share your own unique voice
this oneplug-in (software component)An important feature is the ability for users to import their own audio files and create new and unique audio models. Common audio files (preferably mono content) can be easily imported and distributed to different pitch regions within the keyboard range, either automatically or manually. Performing an automatic import is essentially a one-button process that instantly produces an appropriate playable audio model. Manual importing gives the user complete control over which waves should end up in which pitch regions. Last but not least, you can easily share the audio models you create with others.
Tomofon comes pre-loaded with 124 audio modeling packs based on high-quality recordings of a wide range of expressions. These models include a wide range of instruments such as strings, vocals, brass, woodwinds, guitars and more. In addition to these models, more than 180 presets are available to get you started right away. From there, you can venture further and start creating audio models based on your own audio files and experiment with the types of sounds they can grow into.

Tomofon Real Audio Synth Plugin to v1.2
Klevgrand has announced the release of a major update to its most advanced and powerful instrument, designed to expand the user experience and music, and further unfold new sound creations.
The Tomofon Real Audio Synth is a versatile instrument that has received even more creative and valuable features in recent updates. Version 1.2 introduces MPE support (MIDI Polyphonic Expression), a feature that has gained more attention in the last few weeks with the release of Ableton Push 3. Thanks to the new Tomofon MPE mode, users can use bends and controllers in a polyphonic way, unleashing even more expressive power.
Another new feature is the ability to assign a "body" to each patch. This feature enhances the realism of the acoustic model by simulating the natural characteristics of various resonant spaces. Users can choose from a wide range of bodies, from big box to metal. In response to user feedback, Klevgrand has also extended Tomofon's filtering capabilities. In addition to the existing low-pass filter, users can now switch to high-pass and band-pass filters with two different slope options (12 dB/oct or 24 dB/oct).
When importing files, Tomofon v1.2 now also supports importing .tun files, allowing users to use custom tunings in their compositions. This feature caters to musicians exploring alternative scale and tuning systems.
In addition, Klevgrand has made a number of handy updates to improve the Tomofon user experience. Among other improvements, the audio model editor now features zooming and scrolling, making it easier to work with audio models containing a large number of waves. The Curve tool has also been given a visual makeover, featuring a graphical representation of the audio model in the background, allowing users to edit and shape sounds more intuitively.
