We have updated all of our products to fix bugs and add some new features.

Most importantly, all of our products are now compatible with VST3. They look and sound the same in all three formats (VST2, VST3, and AU) and use roughly the same amount of CPU. They are also very similar as far as functionality is concerned, and if your DAW allows you to choose between formats, we really can't recommend one over the other.

In addition, Echobode and Bitspeek now allow MIDI-mapped knobs and support program changes using MIDI notes or MIDI program change messages.

In addition, we have increased the graphic resolution of Echobode, Bitspeek and Permut8 to give you full "retina" quality at 200% scaling.

In addition to this, we have eliminated some bugs and resolved many compatibility issues. We recommend that everyone update to the new version. The only reason you wouldn't want to update is if you're running 32-bit Windows, which we've now removed support for.

Permut8 is an effect plugin that uses raw signal processing hardware sounds. At its heart is a 12-bit digital delay with sample rates ranging from 0 to 352 khz. The delay time is controlled by a programmable processor that can alter and modulate the delay time via various "operators". Input and output stages provide virtual analog components for saturation, limiting and filtering.Permut8's sound is raw and complex, yet noisy and warm at the same time.

Echobode is a delay effect with a frequency shifter in the feedback loop. The frequency shifter algorithm is inspired by the classic Bode frequency shifter (named after its inventor Harald Bode). A frequency shifter differs from a tone shifter in that it shifts the audio spectrum linearly. For example, a series of overtones at 100, 200, and 300 Hz can be shifted to 150, 250, and 350 Hz by a displacement of 50 Hz, thus making the overtones non-harmonic. This effect in itself is perfect for creating metallic chime tones, and placing it in a delay feedback loop opens up even more possibilities.

Bitspeek is a real-time pitch excitation linear prediction codec effect. You're probably thinking right now, "Oh, this stuff again"? Probably not. You've probably never heard of "linear prediction," even though most of us use it every day when talking on our cell phones. Linear predictive coding is a speech compression technique that appeared in commercial products in the 1970s and was used in some famous talking toys in the early 1980s.
