DJEMBE X3M is a brand new African-basedpercussionInstrumental sample library with a large number of Djembe with different rhythms and ensembles for all kinds of dynamic music, especially for movie and video game production.

African Djembe has been an essential element in soundtracks and music productions around the world for many years. We applied our sampling philosophy to the various instruments in the Djembe series to get a very organic and fresh soundscape, coupled with our delightful X3M percussion engine.

One of our main goals was to capture as many playing techniques as possible in as many consistent Round Robins as possible in order to write quickly while achieving smooth and realistic percussion arrangements. To accomplish this, we carefully hand-edited each sample of our 9 Round Robins and did as many iterations as possible while testing the techniques extensively in a realistic musical environment.

The recording took place in the Sofia Session Studio, where our previous X3M sample libraries were recorded for smooth and easy overlay.

X3M Percussion Engine
The concept of the engine is quite simple - the keyboard range is divided into 12 zones to which you can assign different sounds. After creating the desired template, just insert it and play it - no other actions are required!
On top of that, the engine allows you to tweak individual regions, as well as entire mapped ensemble patches with various effects and mic positions. Combine these with natural and organic recordings and you have maximum flexibility in terms of timbre.

Once you load the X3M Ensemble Builder, you will automatically load all the samples in the "Samples" directory. However, the way the instrument is built actually keeps all the samples clear unless you load them into a region. This means that not only do you have a single patch containing all the types of percussion you could possibly need, but it is also optimized not to harm your RAM resources in any way!

The recently updated X3M engine also features Round Robin Selection and stereo extension control for each microphone position.
