Individual voice control is probably Obsession's most important feature: each voice board can be distinctly different from the others in a number of ways, creating the organic, vivid sound for which vintage analog polyphonic synthesizers are famous.

For example, rotating the Cutoff Frequency trimmer to the left means that the Cutoff Frequency for that particular sound will be lower than average, while rotating it to the right means that it is higher than average. Similarly, rotating the Amp Release trimmer to the left will slightly shorten the release time for that particular voice, while rotating the trimmer to the right will result in a longer release time. Even additional parameters found on voice boards with real hardware (such as oscillator and filter scaling) are present in Obsession.
