When recording an instrument using multiple microphones, the sound tends to arrive at each microphone at slightly different times, resulting in certain frequencies canceling each other out, while others may build up unnaturally. This phenomenon is known as the comb filter effect.

Until now, the delay between microphones had to be compensated for manually, a very time-consuming and inaccurate process.

Go to Auto Align.
Auto-alignment will "listen" to your multi-microphone recordings and automatically measure and compensate for delays between microphones or between the DI box and the microphone - accurately sampling, dramatically reducing comb filter effects and dramatically improving the final sound.

When using distant microphones and needing a delay to enhance spatiality, Auto-Aliqn can time-target the microphone to better match the source of the close microphone to minimize the effects of comb filters.Auto-Aliqn can also automatically detect and compensate for reverse polarity microphones.
