Snail is a very high-precision frequency domain analyzer that provides an intuitive representation of sound based on scales and notes aligned in the active region of the spectrum.

It is available for Mac and Windows operating systems as well as AAX, AU and VST3. plug-in (software component)for use in standalone applications.

This plugin offers a new way to tune and analyze instruments in an extremely precise way. It displays intonation and visualizes music and sounds to help anyone improve their hearing and intonation!

Snail's inner workings include two modes and three different display views:

Mode:

• Music Mode - best for viewing your music, for example, if it contains complex polyphonic content.
• Tuner Mode - is the preferred mode to help tune the instrument as it improves the resolution of the analysis.

Displays the view:

• Snail View - Provides a real-time representation of the fundamental frequency and all associated harmonics or overtones.

Sounds are displayed as "blobs" along the spiral view, from the low frequencies in the center to the high frequencies (and their respective notes) on the spiral GUI.

• Zoomed Tuner View - displays a hexagonal shape that rotates and slows down as you zero down to green at the exact reference frequency.

This display is the closest view to a conventional tuner while being more accurate.

• Sonic Plot View - Provides a more standardized representation of the sound spectrum over time (vertically), highlighting major frequencies.

This view provides more detailed information about the frequency energy for analysis.
