Next Generation Dynamic Processing
ADPTR Audio's SCULPT represents the future of dynamics and tone control.Designed exclusively for mastering busses and grouping busses, SCULPT allows you to completely and cleanly reshape the sound in a way that no other processor can. At its core is an extremely transparent "upstream" compressor, a more conventional "downstream" compressor, and powerful pitch and transient "sculpting" sections. Use it to tinker with master busses and mix busses, or to enhance specific elements in samples, sources, and instrument groups.
Four modules running in parallel
SCULPT is built on four dynamic modules running in parallel. The upstream compression module offers extraordinary flexibility and greater transparency in dynamics control, while the high-quality downstream compression module provides more traditional dynamics control. The unique Tone Sculpting module accentuates or suppresses specific aspects of the audio, while the Transient Sculpting module manipulates the onset of each sound to precisely control its sonic "envelope". Each module has its own Mute, Solo, and Output meters, so you can see and hear how they affect the audio.
Tone Manipulation Master
Each of SCULPT's modules comes with frequency controls that affect the way Sculpt analyzes a signal. These controls are used as side-chain equalization controls in the Compressor module, pitch balance controls in the Tone Sculpt module, and transient selection controls in the Transient Sculpt module. The Tone Sculptor module also includes a Tone Balance graph that displays the frequency balance of the track, enabling constant monitoring of the tone. The beauty of SCULPT is that it doesn't apply frequency-dependent processing. Instead, it affects the gain of the input sample by sample, resulting in an incredibly transparent effect.
Distortion-free dynamic control
SCULPT utilizes a state-of-the-art Envelope Detection Algorithm (EDA) that mimics the way a human being hears sound, and is therefore more responsive than traditional compressor technology. The EDA detects the envelope of a sound with lightning-fast precision, making SCULPT distortion-free, even when processing complex material using ultra-fast attack and release settings. Never worry about distortion again when using SCULPT for light to heavy sidechain compression.
Autogain that really works
The problem with most dynamics processors is that they don't take perceived loudness into account when applying auto gain, which means you often end up with a "level-matched" signal that sounds much louder or smaller than the input signal.SCULPT analyzes the full frequency response of the incoming audio signal and adjusts the knobs accordingly, allowing you to can make accurate level-matched A/B comparisons. The presets included with SCULPT also adjust themselves to the dynamics of the input audio signal, allowing you to hear the preset's sound effects.
Functional Features
Transparently shape the dynamics, timbre, and transients of individual tracks, buses, and masters.
Four dynamic modules, including an upstream compressor/expander, a downstream compressor/expander, a tone balancing module, and a transient processor.
