Camel Audio's CamelCrusher is for coloring and applying saturation to mixesplug-in (software component), but can also compress or expand the mix. It is extremely easy to use with a straightforward user interface and very few knobs.

This VST plugin includes a couple of basic presets, but you can also start from scratch or use the randomizer to get different random settings to keep things flowing.

The distortion section of the plug-in adds distortion and excellent saturation, while the filter and compressor sections keep the signal clean and controlled. The distortion section has two forms of saturation: tube and mechanical. The tubes produce a more analog sound, while the mechanical section produces a mechanical sound.

The only downside to this amazing plug-in, it was discontinued a few years ago when it was acquired by Apple, but you should still be able to find it online or in Apple's Logic Pro X DAW.
